Starting with the exterior image of the building the Art Museum and the aspect that is more special than the rest of the buildings is close, it is indicated that it is something special when you take care to pay a visit.
The building was built in 1902 in neo-Baroque style and comprises six exhibition halls. The museum holds a national gallery of painting and sculpture and an exhibition of decorative art. The gallery also contains many works or works of art made by anonymous but also many works with devoted authors. For the curious, there are exhibited very popular works created by Nicolae Grigorescu (the second collection in the country), Ion Andreescu and many others. Sculptures signed by Paul Dubois, Dimitrie Paciurea or other very popular sculptors.

In the years 1969- 1970 it is adapted to be a museum and remains so to this day. According to the law of museums and collections, it is classified as a museum of county importance.
The museum is open to all visitors. The program is divided according to the season.
If you visit it in winter (between October 1 - March 31) the program is from Tuesday to Sunday from 09 to 17, and in summer (from April 1 to September 3) from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 until 6pm.
The price of tickets for access to permanent but also temporary exhibitions an adult must take out of pocket 5 lei, while half pensioners and students and students only 1 leu.
Those who want to take pictures must get out of pocket 17 lei and for shooting 30 lei. The museum also has interactive guides for a more interesting cultural experience.
You can also pay a guide to show you and explain everything in more detail with 50 lei for a complete tour of the museum. Here groups of students and students receive a substantial discount, the guide being free in this case. For foreign visitors, there is an English speaking guide and the price is the same.
